It’s Pole for Christian Weir GR Cup Race 2 Road America

Christian Weir claimed his first career Toyota GR Cup Series Continental Tire Pole Award during qualifying for Sunday’s race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Driving the No. 71 TechSport Racing GR86, he led the field to the green flag for the race.
Weir secured his starting spot during the Sunday morning qualifying session. In Race 2, he started on the front row alongside Gresham Wagner. Weir showed strong pace, leading the race for seven minutes before dropping back during a series of intense overtaking battles at the front of the pack. [1]
